Classic package of Cambodia 5 days
This itinerary is the shortest one in packages but completely interesting, or at least it is acknowledged as a good choice of no fewer visitors. Tourists still can witness the full sight of Phnom Penh and Siem Reap actually. Take glance at the tour to decide if it should be in your option or not! Day 1: Chau Doc - Phnom Penh by Boat – (L/ D) The sailing navigating past nearly 200km from Moc Bai to Phnom Penh Port. On arrival at Port, you are met by our guide and transferred to hotel. The capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh lies near the confluence of the Mekong and Tonle Sap Rivers. This riverside town still maintains considerable charm despite its recent turbulent history. An afternoon city tour acquaints us with some major sights of Phnom Penh.The private quarters of the Royal Palace are now home to the royal family and are therefore very close to the public. At the northern area of the palace grounds is Silver Pagoda, the most sacred temple in the country and next destination National Museum. We follow it with a walk up to a small hill for an interesting visit to the legendary Wat Phnom and a fantastic view over the surrounding areas/N in Phnom Penh. Day 2: Pnom Penh - Siem Reap (B/ L/ D) In the morning, we get on the 1-hour flight to Siem Reap, the city of Angkor. The same morning we are on tour to Rolous Group temples including the 9th-century-erected Preah Ko temple, Bakheng, the largest and most complex temple of the Rolous group temples, and the four-brick-tower temple of Lo Lei. After the lunch break, we will head to Small Circuit to witness the Prasat Kravan (Cardamon sanctuary), where we will experience the stunning image of the eight-armed Vishnu In the largest central tower. Then we get going to Banteay Kdei, a massive Buddist temple with four concentric walls; to Srah Srang (Royal Bath); especially to Ta Prohm, which is best known for itsoriginally charming look, with trees and roots intertwined with the carvings and chambers of the buildings. Next, we move to just east of Ankor Thom where stand the Thommanon and Chau Say Tevoda that seem to Be known as the twin temple, and to Takeo, the only temple never completed and yet one among the finest. Finaly. O/N Siem Reap City Day 3 : Angkor Temples (B, L/ D) Breakfast in hotel then start the tour to South Gate of Angkor Thom, then go to Angkor Thom (the temple which was built by Angkor's greatest king se exact function and symbolism is still unknown until now. Then we go to Baphoun, which is one of the most spectacular of Angkor's temples in its heyday; to Terrace of the Elephants that was used as a giant reviewing stand for public ceremonies and served as a base for the king's grand audience hall; to Terrace of the Leper King, another of Angkor's mysteries. In the afternoon, we visit the World Seventh Wonder -better known as Angkor Wat- that stands as the most important archaeological sites in South-East Asia. Angkor wat stretch over some 400 sq. km, including forested area, Angkor Archaeological Park contains the magnificent remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire. In the evening we view the sunset at Phnom Bakheng hill.O/N Siem Reap City Day 4: Tonle Sap Lake (B/ L/D) In the early morning, we enjoy our time with sunrise at Angkor Wat then back to hotel for breakfast. After that, we are heading to Pre Rup(the pyramid-shaped temple,) then to East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean, Preah Khan and Baksei Chamkrong that all represent the unique feature of Ankorian sites. The afternoon is the time to experience boat trip on the Great Lake Tonle Sap, which is renowned for its basin of fresh water fish (10 tons/ 1Square Km in the 60's). Visitors may also view the fresh water exhibition where we can see various kinds of fish in Tonlesap Lake.Before continuing to visit the Floating Village.After enjoying the sunset at Phnom Krom. O/N Siem Reap City Day 5: Siem Reap –Departure by Flight After your breakfast, you explore to Les Artisans d'Angkor - Chantiers Ecole where visitors can observe artisans making high quality wood and Stone carvings from scratch to end-product by yourself. Then you are transferred to airport for departure flight to the next destination.
